Building the world
Women of India have been making us proud. They are making us proud in every possible way. We have heard about them in sports, entertainment, literature, and politics. We have continuously known about them in the UN and the scientific fields. Vidisha Maitra, Paulomi Tripathi, and Eenam Gambhir are the 3 Indian women who made us proud through the power of speech in the UN. They made India proud just by the power of words.
Allow me to tell you a bit about the strong women we are reading about in this blog.
- Vidisha Maitra is the Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs and she became the pride of India when she strongly answered the Prime Minister of our neighboring country.
- Paulomi Tripathi is the junior-most officer in the Permanent Mission in New York who exposed Pakistan's lies when India exercised the 'Right of Reply' (RoR).
- Eenam Gambhir young diplomat who took on two Pakistani premiers in two consecutive years.
Mangalyaan- the mission to Mars. Mangalyaan was India's maiden mission to Mars, launched on 5th November 2013, which made India the 4th country to place a satellite into the orbit of the Red Planet. It also made ISRO the first space organization to achieve the feat in its first attempt. Mangalyaan had a force of around 500 working on making the mission a success. Some of the major contributions were made by women, who held about 27% of the key executive positions in the mission to Mars. Some of them were- Ritu Karidhal, Deputy Operations Director, Mars Orbiter Mission, Nandini Harinath, Deputy Operations Director, Mars Orbiter Mission, Anuradha TK, Geosat Programme Director at ISRO Satellite Centre. They have been the backbone for India’s maiden mission to Mars.
Indian women are working hard to make a difference.
In fact not only them but all of the women, even if they make the smallest contribution in a family or to society. Not always you need to be known by everyone to make a difference; the smallest things matter and make a difference. Women all around the world, they do not need to be held back, they need to be encouraged, supported and thanked for what they do. Your mother, wife, sister, maid, grandmother, aunt; every woman in your life needs to be appreciated for what they do. That’s all they need!
The task for the blog- Please thank your women in your life who help you in the smallest possible thing.
